Nice store ! The owner is very Nice, there are many kinds of food, the food is made now, hot porridge is served all day.

They are so accommodating. We order a lot of party platters and they will cut the meat up into pupu style....and at no extra charge.

Ahi w teriyaki sauce was too dry & not fresh. Also missing the teriyaki sauce when I picked up the food. Been coming here since 2009, may come back after they change owner.

I usually just do positive reviews, but... Dirty place with terrible service. The guy taking orders just looked at us when I asked a question. He is slow and lifeless. While we were eating I looked over to see the guy sitting there on his phone, then he takes a towel and wipes off his shoe and put the towel on the counter. A short while later he wipes the counter with the same towel. Chairs are dirty and sticky, cover with salt and sand. And not just one, I had to search for a clean chair. As we left, he used the same towel to wipe our table. Dirty, gross... I couldn't eat my food. I wanted to throw it away, my wife will give it to a homeless person later. Awful place, will never be back.

Love this place. We visit here every time we visit O’ahu. It does not matter what part of the island we stay we always eat here a couple times per visit. The loco moco is great and my boys love the chili burger. The mahi mahi sandwich is also great.

The ahi steak was cooked perfectly. Great low key lunch spot on the way to Makapu'u / Hanauma Bay / North Shore. Go with an appetite, this eatery (like L&L and many many others) gives you an (un?)healthy amount of delicious food for 9-12 bucks a plate but you'll enjoy every bite for sure.

The front counter lady was very pleasant and nice. She even held the door open for a handicapped lady .The cooks look grouchy .But that's just how they look .They don't get paid to smile .

Almost every neighborhood in Oahu has at least one diner, usually an L&L and at least one other. Loco Moco is the best dinrr/drive in in Hawaii Kai. They offer a range of plate lunch specials, as well as a few breakfast items, an also have a bubble tea shop on site. Mochiko chicken is probably their best option, but the shrimp fried rice and mushroom chicken are also very good, and the pork adobo is worth a try. Plate lunches usually come with white rice and Mac salad, but you can substitute for brown rice, no Mac salad, or no sides at all. Service is very quick. Plenty of parking available. I think the Loco Moco in Kapolei is the best one, but the Hawaii Kai branch is pretty good too, and recently renovated.

I bought a plate lunch here it was horrible, not going back. Service with bad intentions, meat old. Haters gave me old meat on purpose with more fat than actual meat. Intentional, obviously. Hope they go out of business.

Terrible service during the day by the evil looking cashier who looks like she’s ready to k*ll someone. Not even a thank you. She needs to learn customer service if they want repeat business. Place also reeks with a rotten smell. Go to L&L in the next center.

Good place for breakfast

Good service and nice staff. Wide selection of American and Chinese style food. Dining room has a reasonable amount of seats. Prices are decent. Comfort food. It's on the way to historic Hanauma Bay, or back when done.

I ate 6 kinds of plates including Loco Moco. All are normal. In other words, in Japan, you can't open a store. This is almost the same for every drive-in. Never bother going. By the way, it is a shop that Chinese people are doing.

Food is cheap but you get what you pay for. Staff is very friendly though.

Had a miss handled order today and had to drive back to get it fixed so.. disappointed in service today. Other than that food is always good and medium speed when it came to wait time.

We stopped here on the way back from Blowhole. They really have a little of everything and it's all fresh and delicious! Great spot!

Fried, greasy, starchy but good! That's what I wanted and that's what I got. If you don't like this lind of local food go somewhere else and don't complain.
